Marine Rescue Port Stephens currently has about 200 members, whose age and skill range are many and varied.
Some members are still in full-time employment, while many others are retired from full-time work, and find that great satisfaction comes from volunteering in a community assistance environment.
Regardless of your work/life situation, you could bring your life- and work-skills with you when you volunteer to help maintain Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) in the Port Stephens area.
Full training is provided, and a very effective mentoring system is in place to ensure that new members are not thrown in at the deep end.
